Pepsi faces trouble from village panchayat

The licence of Pepsi plant at Kanjikode in Palkad district was cancelled by the CPI-M controlled Pudussery village panchayat. Over exploitation of water resources, was the reason cited for the cancellation of the licence.

The Chief Minister, AK Antony, at a meeting in Tiruvananthapuram said," Kerala Government will provide the Pepsi plant all possible legal protection."
The CM also informed that the government hasn't yet received any decision from the Pudussar village panchayat to revoke the licence.
